Beautifully contrasting shades of blue, a lovely spectrum of lavender hues, a surprising dusty green leaf that is simply the perfect shade to blend with the surrounding tones--all of this brilliantly highlighted with gold bands, cartouches, and delicate painted lattice work. Combine these features with a design which manages to meld pastel colors and a floral motif with bolder colors and a more striking geometric design. The end result is magnificent. These six plates were produced by Porcelaine Limousine, the former Redon firm of Limoges, France. This company began using these back stamps in 1905 or 1906. All six plates are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or paint loss. There appear to be no utensil marks which leads me to believe that they were never or rarely used. These beautiful Arts and Crafts hand painted plates measure 10 1/4" in diameter.
