This interesting and pretty Czechoslovakian vase melds subtle curved lines with more squared elements. Sprays of pink and maroon pastel leaves drape languidly down each of the four cream-colored faces. The base is a squared pedestal with small corner pillars. ERPHILA was a mark of the importer Ebeling and Reuss Company of Philadelphia-- hence the abbreviation E. R. Phila (ERPHILA). The backstamp indicates that this vase was made between 1918 and 1921.

The vase is 9 5/8" tall. The base is 3 3/8" square and the top opening is 4 7/8" square. The vase weighs 1 pound, 11 ounces. It is in good condition with very slight crazing. The base shows very small flecks which are barely noticeable. This vase possesses a very subtle beauty and stylish grace.
