These plates depicting scenes of America were manufactured by the Adams Company of England in the 1930's. They are transferware plates that were hand tinted before glazing. The borders are the older pink and yellow wild rose border.

The titles of the plates include; 1- Husking, 1- Home to Thanksgiving, 1- American Homestead Autumn, 1- Winter in the Country, The Old Grist Mill, 1-Woodcock Shooting, 1- Star of the Road, 1- Yosemite Valley California The Bridal Veil Fall, 1-American Express Train (see photo, crack), 1- The Clipper Ship Sweepstakes, 1- The Rocky Mountains Emigrants Crossing the Plains.

The plates have a 10 3/8" diameter. There is some light crazing typical for the age of the plates. As stated, the American Express Train plate has a crack which is visible on the front. Otherwise, the plates are in good condition.
