A wonderful way to serve your home made soup! The soup tureen was made by J & A Meakin in Hanley, England. It has a floral pattern with a swirl lid handle and two swirl side handles. The height with the lid on is 5" with a length handle to handle of 8". The rim diameter is 6 1/2" by 4 1/2". The length of the matching ladle is 6" with rim diameter of 2 1/2". The tureen is marked semi-porcelain and dates from 1891 until the early 1900's. This item is in good condition with no chips or cracks. It does have some crazing and the tip of the ladle handle has a little brown discoloration due to use and age.
