This is a dynamic duo! One of the tankard mugs has a two headed lizard or dragon gold handle and the other one has a sleek gold handle. Both cups have grape motifs and are trimmed in gold and black. The dragon handle tankard background is painted a lighter color. The dragon handle tankard is 5 3/4" to the rim in height with a rim diameter of 3". The other tankard is 5 1/2" to the rim in height with a rim diameter of 3". The dragon handle cup is marked Favorite Bavaria; the other tankard is unmarked. Both tankards came from the same estate. The dragon-handled mug holds 27 ounces to the brim and the other holds 26 ounces.
Favorite Bavaria backstamp was used on white ware to export. The two tankards are not signed but were painted in the U.S. I think this would make a lovely his and her antique gift. Most porcelain from this estate dates around 1910 -1912. This item is in good condition with no chips or cracks.
