A superb French brooch pendant dating from the mid 1800s but made in the Georgian style. Very versatile in that the top half is detachable and can be worn either as a brooch or a pendant or as the centrepiece of a ribbon necklace. The bottom part can also be worn as a separate pendant. Lovely sparkle with all the stones in good condition apart from one small replacement stone which is only apparent under very close scrutiny. The clasp is a secure French trombone fastening.
The length is 3” and the maximum width is 2”. The weight is a very substantial 29.7 grams.
There is a French silver hallmark on the reverse.
