Beautiful genuine red leather.
The Decameron written in 1351 - 1353 circulated in manuscript until the invention of printing; the first printed edition was believed to have been printed in Florence, Italy in 1469 or 1470.

This edition is from The Easton Press Collection of the 100 Greatest Books Ever Written
The book features premium hand-cut full leather boards with a distinct cover design in ornate 22-karat gilt also on the pages. There are silk moire end-papers with a sewn in matching satin bookmark. The paper used is acid neutral to last generations without discoloring. The condition of the book is Fine in as new condition and very tight, never having been opened or read. There is a bookplate from the estate of the previous owner that can be replaced. No other markings or any other signs of previous ownership. These books really have to be held to appreciate the beauty of them.

536 pages. Measures 10" 7 1/2", weighs 3 lbs. 6 0z.
