An original 1946 edition of Margaret Cambell-Self's The Horseman's Encyclopedia (eighth printing) in pretty darn good condition for a book that is 70 yrs. old. Published by A. H. Barnes and Company. It has the original dust jacket (not a reproduction) that is also in pretty good condition. It is a great collectible book for the equestrian, full of all kinds of helpful information. It is still available in print but there is nothing like having the collectible original early edition. 519 pages.
It is signed in pencil in the front "To Nancy from Mother 1956" Also, in the very back is an assortment of clippings from newspapers and magazines dating from 1955-1958, along with a price list of Dr. Daniels Horse and Cattle Medicines - 1957. Also an original pencil sketch of a horse and boy. All to add a personal touch so I left them in.
