Offered for your consideration are a couple of hard plastic Doll in Need of Clothing! These doll each measure approximately 6-1.2" tall. They are joined at the shoulder, so their arms can be posted. Their eyes are side glancing and the remind me of Kewpie dolls, but they are manufactured by the Irwin Company. Each are clearly marked "MADE IN U.S.A. IRWIN."
The Irwin Corp. was founded in 1925 and they were known for their celluloid and dollhouse dolls. They became a major manufacturer and distributor for hard plastic toys around 1945.
Sadly, one of these twins is not perfect ... Good twin/bad twin! One of the twins appears to get into mischief more than the other. One seemed to like the fire and has melting spots on his forehead (above his left eye), a spot on his belly, upper leg and spots on his knee, as well as on his left foot. There are also spots on the back of his head, right butt cheek, and near his right leg in back. Of course, his boo boos could easily be covered if some talented person knows how to knit or crochet outfits for him!!!
