Late 19th Century Bohemian Glass Grape and Fern Heavy Gilt Footed Punch Cups.
Another case of my taste outweighing my expertise. I knew the moment that I saw them, they were exceptional in style and quality. The engraved / recessed decorative areas are exceptional, as is the quality of the gold touches. 100 years old or more and nary a flaw. Purchased from a large CT estate, their quality does not surprise me but unfortunately, I've been unable to track down another set. The gilt and design are reminiscent of a certain glassworks (please see below).
One small chip to the underside of the bottom edge, of one glass, is smooth with age and only noticeable under very close inspection (please see last photo below).
I could make an educated guess as to the maker, but suffice to say they are mid to late 19th century Bohemian and spectacular in every way.
