Vintage Sterling Silver and Mother of Pearl Oval Earrings from Carolee.
Carolee Friedlander founded her jewelry company in 1972 (Greenwich, CT). Her creations mimicked some of the finest pieces of jewelry in the world and with an incredible flair for marketing , she grew a small company into a major corporation. An interesting woman to say the least, after selling her company in 2001, she went on to found Access Circles, a global community dedicated to the enrichment of women's lives through health, wellness and life planning.
These lustrous beauties are possibly the prettiest mother of pearls that I've come across. I tried photographing them in varying light but I'm afraid my photos really don't do them justice. The ovals are bezel set in sterling and measure 20mm by 12mm or approx. 3/4" by 1/2".
The french clips are a pierced post with a lever wire back that adds stability to the earring and takes the weight of the lobe.
Signed Carolee and 925
Excellent condition - These had quite a bit of tarnish and have been cleaned but I would be careful with additional cleaning, so as to not damage the stone.
