This absolutely stunning piece of artistry dates circa turn of the century, late 1800s early 1900s. Created in sterling silver and marked for such, on the reverse side and found on the center bottom is written “Sterling”. To the left and slightly up from the bottom are two initials which I believe reads ‘GJ’. This mark is either the artist or company responsible for this glorious piece.

Victorian necklace measures approximately a touch over 17 inches in wearable length with an additional 2 ½ inch drop. Total weight of this necklace is 13.4 grams. The round bottom drop measures 1 1/8 inches in diameter.

The chain is comprised of the tiniest seed pearls separated by a very fine belcher or rolo chain. This chain attaches to a halo, made up of paste stones. Between the linkage is a lovely paste studded bow and finally a much larger halo comprised of paste stones set into sterling. The paste stones used twinkle like a starlit sky.

Attesting to the quality and fine workmanship there is not one stone missing or damage found on very close inspection. This is a grand piece of antique jewelry and though feminine and delicate it is quite resilient and solidly constructed. A feast for the eyes!
