The pearls used to create this 14k yellow gold ring are stunning and have the most beautiful nacre. This ring design would be considered a ‘bypass’ style as the ring ends don’t meet but bypass each other in different directions.
These salt water pearls measure approximately 7 mm’s and are both placed in a 6 prong belcher setting. On the inside top of this piece is a personal inscription, initials of the giver of this ring to the receiver. To the bottom of the shank are partial gold content/company marks but unfortunately all I can read is an ‘S’ and a number ‘5’. This piece of fine jewelry may have been resized at some point in time and I believe that the hallmark and backstamp were compromised. I have tested both the pearls and gold and will guarantee that the metal used is 14k yellow gold and authenticated pearls.
Ring is a size 6 ½ and will fit a 6 ¾ perhaps a 7 due to the thinner style shank. Total weight of this piece is 4.61 grams. Pearls are in exceptional condition and are highlighted with a pink, green and touches of blue cast nacre. Setting possesses slight age related wear and if not the correct size may be easily re-sized by your local or family jeweler.
