This Art Deco 14 kt yellow gold and faceted garnet ring dates circa 1920s. The center oval cut Garnet is set in a traditional 4 prong setting. The center stone measures 10 by 8 mm’s and using a conversion chart equates to 2.80 carats.
The setting was created using 14 kt yellow gold, is clearly stamped, has been tested for gold fineness and will be guaranteed. Presently this ring is a size 5 ¾ and should fit up to a size 6 due in part to the open-back construction, if not the correct size may be easily resized by your local jeweler. Total weight of this piece of fine jewelry is 3.50 grams.
Design is architectural with slopping shoulders and quite a bit of pierce worked noted. Condition of the garnet is very nice with a nice clean table and light age appropriate wear to the stone and setting.
