Featured today is a shimmering green art glass and sterling brooch from the Art Deco Period. This brooch is in very nice condition with the loveliest hand carved and pierced Deco frame which totally encapsulates the center stone. With the fine workmanship found on the border, which was a traditional design for this period, it creates the illusion of suspension and makes the stone appear as if floating free.
The glass cabochon stone set in a bezel setting has wonderful swirls and transparencies in different shades of green and off white. Total measurement of this piece is over 1 ½ inches in length by ½ inch in width and comes with a fully functional c clasp with safety.
Glass and frame are in very nice condition with the pin having only a very small bend in the center. This brooch is marked sterling on the back of the frame, please see photograph for authentication.
