1913 New York Ontario & Western RW Bond issued to Carnegie Hero Fund Commission - image 1 of 1

1913 New York Ontario & Western RW Bond Certificate. Attractive railroad scripophily bond issued to Carnegie Hero Fund Commission. Andrew Carnegie started the Carnegie Hero Fund in 1904 after a terrible coal mining accident in Pennsylvania that claimed over 180 lives. His purpose was to recognize those who risk their lives to save others. In his words: "heroes and those dependent upon them should be freed from pecuniary cares resulting from their heroism." Certificate is in VF condition with punch hole cancels across bottom of bond.

Purchasing Notes: Payment by check or PayPal. Insurance is bundled with shipping. I use a third party shipping insurer (not USPS, which does not insure 1st class large envelops, and is seriously overpriced due to pervasive fraudulent claims). I offer two domestic shipping choices: $3.50 for first class, and $9.00 for Priority. Priority is recommended for orders over $100. International shipping is $6.00 for a large 1st class envelope. Other international options are usually too expensive. Shipping charge does not increase if you order more than one item. Do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions.
