Antique Enamel pendant depicting the Holy Virgin holding the Christ Child. The hand painted figures are very fine crafted and surrounded by gold painted ornaments. The oval enamel plaque is set in an artful mounting in open work design and adorned with c- scrolls. The mounting is made of 14k yellow gold ( hallmarked 585 and acid tested). The enamel plaque has an inscription on the back side which says " Souvenir of Maria Zell" Maria Zell is a well known Austrian sanctuary. The item is in perfect condition and dated at the late 19th century.
