Big & Beautiful Antique Compact

Condition Note: Excellent but has a dent on the bottom edge of compact.

This compact is so stunning....approx. 40 colorful simi-precious and glass Gem Stones.

....very large and heavy for a compact
weighing 5.7 ozs and 3 inches wide. ..see pics

The polished cabochon orange stones are Carnelians.
They are in perfect condition.
The rest of the stones I believe are facet cut glass stones
and 3 mother of pearl stones.

FEATURES:
The compact is made of a heavy metal and is
finished in gold gilt.

The stones are all set in a deep gold bezel on a bed of filigree.

The sides are covered with fine filigree...very ornate and delicate looking.

The mirror is beveled with a twisted rope frame.

The inside is marked Austria...see pic

CONDITION: EXCELLENT
The hinge is sturdy and works well and closes with a snap...and stays shut.
All stones look perfect under a loop except one red stone & one purple stone has tiny nick and scratch.
The nick and scratch are not easy to see...so small.

There is a dent on the bottom edge of the compact can be seen in pictures 13 & 14
The mirror has a good reflection but has some light spots and a some faint ghosting is present,
