Ultra Rare! Old FRENCH Glass Compass Compact Novelty Working

This is a very rare old compact....not sure of the exact age ..I think from the 1930's to the 1940's

It is marked in very France on the dial see picture # 8.

The compact has a working compass on the top...It is made of glass and metal.

The glass is on the top and the bottom.

The compass has some weight to it. Solid & Sturdy

It measures approx 2.75" across.

When you turn it over you can see yourself in the mirror ( unless the screen is in it) from the inside top, because the bottom is glass.

It has its org. powder screen...

This is a very rare compact and sure to be well received as a gift.

CONDITION: VERY GOOD.

THE HINGE AND CLASP WORK PERFECTLY.

Snaps and stays shut...very sturdy.

THINGS TO POINT OUT:

The compact looks old.

The side has 3 little nicks in the metal near the back. see last picture

I think the metal was gold and has rubbed off from being handled.

The powder screen is fragile and has a little bit of powder on it.

The top has a scratch in the glass
