A beautiful Memento Mori ring signed by DEAKIN & FRANCIS. The band style ring has sleek black enamel with natural seed pearls and old rose-cut diamonds. The words "In Memory Of" are spelled out around the band. The ring has a secret locket back compartment. It is fully hallmarked for Deakin & Francis, 625 for 15ct gold and the city of Chester, year 1882. Chester is a rarer hallmark to find. There is an engraving on the inside with a date of 1892. It is a size 9 and suitable for a man or women. A lovely example of sentiment mourning jewelry from the Victorian era.
