A pair of molded rearing horse bookends by Dodge with a copper patina and a nice heavy weight.
The bookends are molded in an Art Deco style with geometric manes and curved stands. You can see the mold lines down the center. They have the original green felt on the flat base.
There is a two tone brown paper label on the base of one horse that reads, “CREATED AND MADE IN THE WEST by DODGE INC.” It also has a rearing horse in the sunset with a cowboy waving his Stetson.
5 ½” (14.0 cm) tall x 4 3/8” (11.11 cm) long x 2 7/16” (6.2 cm) wide. Weighs 4 lb 4.1 oz (1930 g)
There are no dents, cracks, or breaks. There are small wear scratches on the surface and wear to the copper patina. There is a deeper scratch on the side near the belly of one horse. One side of one horse no longer has shine to its finish.
A great pair of heavy bookends to be useful in keeping up those books. The deco imagery is simple and elegant.
