A fun pair of western bookends with horse colts and a tooled western belt motif to hold up those books.
A gray metal molded pair of bookends with a copper patina. The colts are in grass and show an attentive stance. The base edge is decorated by a tooled western belt. The detail of the designs is deep and artistic.
The copper is in good shape and they have a nice shine to them. They have had a green felt added to them at a later date. You can see some of the glue used. The bookends have a nice weight to them
There is a mark on the back that reads “MCA” with the copyright mark and the year 1949.
7 ½” (19.0 cm) tall x 6 ¼” (15.9 cm) long x 3” (7.6 cm) deep. Weighs 3 lb 12.4 oz (1710 g)
There are no breaks, dents, or cracks. There is some small patina wear. They still look shiny and entire. The felts have been replaced. One felt bottom is a little loose.
A great pair of western bookends to keep up your books.
