An over-the-top metal silver plate pickle caster by Rockford with a crown like base. The finial of the pressed glass jar lid is a fist holding a bar.
The frame has a place for tongs. The tongs are ornate and have claw like ends. The edge of the base is shaped like the top of a crown. The jar and lid fit snugly and are in the right proportions to the frame.
The frame is stamped with a mark with ROCKFORD SILVER P CO. QUADRUPLE in a circle around a set of scales and the production number 695.
9 ½” (24.1 cm) tall x 4 1/8” (10.5 cm) diameter. Weighs 1 lb 9.6 oz (725 g)
The finial on the frame is loose on one side. It’s not going to come apart but travels down the arms of the frame and springs back if you push it. The frame has no dents or cracks, and it sits flat on a surface. The frame is missing most of its silver but does shine up some The rim of the lid and foot of the glass jar has some chips on the edges.
A fancy pickle caster to use or admire on display.
