A tall silver plate vase with cupids at the base holding the vase up. It is so over-the-top with both etched and molded florid designs. The handles are pierced and have a floral dimension this is repeated at the base where the two cupids are. The base is domed with ringed edges. The mouth has a large scalloped or crenullated edge.

There is a maker mark in the center of the base that reads MERIDEN SILVER PLATE CO QUADRUPLEPLATE 1272.

MEASUREMENTS

8 ½” (21.6 cm) tall x 5” (12.7 cm) wide x 3 7/8” (9.4 cm) deep. Weighs 1 lb 0 oz (455 g)

CONDITION

There are no cracks, dents, or breaks. It has polished up nicely but there are still silver losses. The vase may had a glass liner that would have fit in the top.

A silvery, large vase that will add shine to that dark corner.
