A dish in the shape of a Chinese shoe with an upturned toe and seam. The shoe is coated with a robin’s egg blue glaze outside and a yellow egg yolk glaze inside. The glazes on both the inside and outside have a crackle. The base is a glazed and it rests flat.
There is a stamped CHINA on the interior of the shoe.
6 ¼” (15.9 cm) long x 2 ¾” (7.0 cm) wide. Weighs 9.1 oz (260 g)
There is a small chip at the back bottom edge of the sole of the shoe. There are no other cracks, chips, or breaks. There are kiln flaws, such as a firing crack in the interior, reserves and bumps. There are glaze misses especially on the bottom edge.
