A fun flirting pair of figurines from the World War II era.
The sailor is playing a guitar and serenading the hula girl who is smiling The sailor painted in browns, white, black and blue. The hula girl figurine is molded with a lei, and a flower in her hair. She is painted in pink, green, beige, black and purple. The bases on both have an unglazed pink clay with firing holes where the ceramic was poured.
There is a label on the sailor. It reads CERAMICS STYLED by KEN.
The hula girl measures approximately 5 1/8” (13.0 cm) tall x 3 ¼” (8.3 cm) deep x 2 ¼” (5.7 cm) wide. The sailor measures approximately 5 ¼” (13.3 cm) tall x 3 3/8” (8.6 cm) deep x 4” (10.2 cm) wide.

The glazes on both are crazed. The girl has a chip on the flower. The base clay matches the color of the flower. The sailor has a tiny chip on his lip. Again, the color matches the pink clay. They are still bright and shiny.
