A large, thinly-potted Chinese porcelain charger with a top surface of cobalt blue accented with gilded flowers. The cobalt is a deep, deep blue. The outside has Imari floral scrolling on a white ground. The mouth rim has an iron coating.

Th foot ring is rounded and unglazed. The porcelain is a creamy-smooth buff color.

13 ½” (34.3 cm) diameter x 2 ½” (6.4 cm) tall. Weighs 3 lbs 1.6 oz (1435 g)

CONDITION

There are no cracks, chips, frits, breaks or repairs. There is wear to the inside, especially in the well. Some of the gilt flowers are worn and some have worn away nearly entirely, and only have vague outlines. The cobalt color is still strong. The enamels on the outside show only slight wear and the enamels are still bright.
