A delicate, hand painted, saucer with a design of peonies with grass.
The thinly potted porcelain saucer has a nice dark cobalt painting. There is a cross hatch border at the mouth, and rim has a ring of iron to protect it. The foot is cut and unglazed. The base is glazed.
3 ¾” (9.5 cm) diameter x 7/8” (2.2 cm) deep. Weighs 2.4 oz (70 g)
The dish has a tight hairline extending approximate 1” from the rim. It has no other cracks, chips, or breaks. There is surface wear to the well, but the dish still has a shiny look. There are rough spots on the foot. There are kiln flaws, such as black spots, reserve pin holes and bleeding of the iron ring along the outside of the rim.
A delicate, antique dish in blue and white to add substance and richness to your blue and white.
