A fanciful and elaborate Victorian Aesthetic Movement milk glass molded platter with a dog swimming surrounded by lily pads.

A heavy flinty white milk glass that has been molded with a surface decoration of a dog swimming in ripples with a duck in front of him as his goal. The edge has a molded lily pad motif that is the height of Aesthetic Movement decoration. You can see mold lines on the irregular mouth edge. The base is flat with an indention corresponding to the dog’s head. The glass is quite translucent and when held to the light, you can see the shadow of your hand.

There are no maker marks or labels.
