Delicate hand blown clear glass vase with delicate hand-enameled flowers and bees as decoration. The painting is incredibly fine and perfect.
The circular pale green - almost yellow - glass squat vase or bowl has a round cut and polished rim that displays the thinness of the glass. The outer edge of the mouth has a band of tiny hand-painted decorations. Delicate and crisply defined little painted flowers, grasses and bees in realistic enamel colors decorate the body. The designs repeat but are not exactly the same.
The vase has three ribbed handles near the mouth and shoulder that are equidistant from each other. The ribbed glass feet repeat the design of the handles. The vase was hand blown and a polished pontil mark shows on the bottom.
There are no marks or labels.
6 ¾” (17.1 cm) diameter x 4” (10.2 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 8.1 oz (685 g)
I could not see or feel any chips, cracks, or breaks. The vase shows very little wear. There is one tiny enamel loss on one flower leaf. There are a few scratches on the interior well. The vase looks perfect.
A beautiful work of the glass maker’s art. The fun little paintings of a summer meadow will help you think of summer year round.
