Only the fifties, a lamp and a snack server. This lamp could have been right out of Carolyn Appleby’s Chinese modern décor from I love Lucy.

The base is a Chinese dragon boat resting on the waves with a windowed cabin. There are two small rectangular dishes that are removable for snacks. The sail is a hand painted drum shade. The painting is in black with a scene of mountains, ocean, boats, birds, and a pagoda. The lamp base is a molded thin ceramic. The base is unglazed.

There are no marks or paper labels.

MEASUREMENTS
16” long x 4 ½” wide x 14 ¾” tall (with shade). Shade has a 10” diameter. Weight 3 lbs 8.4 oz (1.6 kg)

CONDITION
The boat is shiny and in excellent condition. The shade has a watermark on one side. The little serving dishes have some crazing. There are no cracks, chips, or breaks. The lamp works.

Put the snacks out, turn the lamp on and watch I love Lucy reruns.
