The main body of the robe is a thick dark navy blue silk on the upper sleeves and sides, and thick black silk on front and bottom. The inner lining is a lightweight pale blue silk. The body of the robe is decorated with a colorful brocade of flowers and butterflies, as well as black silk arabesque appliques. The ends of the sleeves have a rich, deep blue silk that have been embroidered with cranes and a lotus. The jacket is held closed with metal filigree balls that are inserted into black piping. The robe has slits up the sides.
The jacket was hand tailored using machine made embroideries and brocades.

(all measurements are approximate)
39” (99.1 cm) long from neck to hem
45” (114.3 cm) chest
45” (114.3 cm) waist
19” (48.3 cm) across at shoulder

Weighs 1 lb 3 oz (550 g)
The outside of the robe has several small moth holes on one sleeve and one in the back (please see circled areas in the photos). Otherwise it is very clean and I don't even see pulled threads. The colors are still very vivid. The inside is very lightly soiled. The robe must have been used very rarely and then carefully stored.
A pretty, and classic 70-year old woman’s robe that is still in wonderful condition.
