A round white jade and two oval red carnelian stones have been set in a gilt bronze matrix. On the back are four raised loops for attachment. The buckle is hinged at the white jade cabochon. Someone has placed nylon rollers over the two outer loops.
The mutton fat jade cabochon has just the slightest greyish green cast. The carnelian stones have a pretty shades of red, pink and orange.
3 ¾” (9.5 cm) long x 1 ¼” (3.2 cm) wide. Weighs 1.8 oz (52 g)
There is wear and oxidization on the gilded metal. There are light scratches to the surfaces of the carnelians. One carnelian has a short fissure which appears to a natural characteristic of the stone, rather than damage. There is some dirt and grime in the edges of the mount.
An antique with a polished soft glow that will add to a collection or be repurposed as jewelry.
