The four piece stacking cloisonné container set with lid has with turquoise background and floral scrolling.

The three brass or bronze containers are decorated with peony scrolls done in pink, red, turquoise, blue, green, yellow and white glass enamels. The containers have a very richly decorated top, as well. The designs of each container lines up perfectly. The interiors are coated with a turquoise ground. The base is also coated in turquoise. The colors are bright with small pitting in the glass enamel. The base has a raised foot. The quality is very good.

MEASUREMENTS

8 ½” (21.6 cm) tall x 4 1/8” (10.5 cm) diameter. Weighs 2 lb 8.7 oz (1155 g)

CONDITION

There is wear to the interior enamels oxidization to the exposed metal areas, including reddish and greenish spotting. There are no chips, breaks, or cracks. Except for a few dark spots the size of pin pricks, the enamels are fresh and bright.

A well preserved, colorful, antique work of art by expert artisans to add to a collection or for a decorative addition to your home.
