A well designed and carved pale green, almost white, jade depicting a cat. It has that soft hand polished finish characteristic of older jades. The carving is deep and rounded. The underside is well finished with darker spots of the jade stone skin.

A rounded Chinese carving in pale green nephrite jade of a cat with rounded tail and detailed face and ears. The ears are deeply cut and well rounded. The carving is expert with detailing on the underside of claws, feet and legs. The stone is translucent with darker spotting on the underside. The stone feels cold and ever so smooth to the touch. It has a great feel in the hand.
