This is a large, rare and stunning Lenci figure of a nude sitting on a fish with a surprised look on her face. The fish is attached to a black round dish supported by three pedestal feet. The piece is titled “Sirenetta e cattivo pesce” and designed by Elena Konig Scavini, one of Lenci famous sculptors. The piece is featured as a full page in the book “Le Ceramica Lenci” by author Alphonso Panzetta , figure 37, see the last photo in this listing. This fine porcelain piece is signed underneath the plate, Lenci, Made in Italy, Torino, XII and a shooting star insignia. It also has an original but illegible Lenci label. The piece is in excellent condition with a factory glaze miss on the left index finger, mentioned for accuracy. The piece stands 17.25” H X 14.5”W. This is a stellar addition for the advanced collector and will surely enhance any Art Deco or fine porcelain collection.
