Extraordinary 1970 sculpture by Sanford (Sandy) Decker of Los Angeles, depicting a stylized woman standing on a pedestal with long flowing hair. This bronze sculpture is signed “Decker 70” inscribed on the top of the base. This sculpture stands 24” and is in good condition. The sculpture’s original patina has a beautiful and natural oxidation.
We have verified with Mr. Decker that this is a unique casting, titled “Medusa.”

Decker has been a strong force in American modern sculpture for several decades, both as an accomplished sculpture artist and having established the Decker Studios Fine Arts Foundry Service. Newer examples of this artist’s work can be found on his company website.
