Alexandra Fairchild Ford “Woman of the Year”
PLEASE NOTE that shipping would be reduced considerably if you do not want her box.
This 16” doll was named Alexander Fairchild Ford, magazine editor of Elan fashion magazine and represents the line of Madame Alexander fashion dolls for adult collectors. She was released by Madame Alexander Company in 2001 and was made out of the finest quality hard vinyl. This doll is a Limited Edition of 2,500 and comes with her COA, registration card, wrist hang tag, and Madame Alexander congratulations and doll club cards. She is marked Alexander (copyright) 2000 on the back of her head and 1126 on her lower back (1126 out of 2500).
Alex has beautiful autumn hair in an upsweep style. It appears to be her factory hairstyle but we can't confirm that it hasn't been retouched. Her eyes are blue and she has pink lips and matching pink fingernails and toenails. She has applied upper lashes and her lower lashes are painted. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips and has a twist waist.
She no longer wears her Woman of the Year gown and accessories. We will include a blue and white checked dress and undies that came with her, although it isn't the style of her original dress. Fortunately, there are still many separate Alex outfits available for her.
Her original Alex box is in very good condition with some shelf wear. Although the box is original, the cardboard insert is missing but we will use plenty of packing material to keep her safe during her travels to her new home. Or as mentioned above, we can ship her without her box to save on shipping fees. Please contact us first to find out the discounted shipping charge.
Alex, Woman of the Year 2001-2002 #30640 can be referenced in Madame Alexander 2007 Collector’s Dolls #32 Price Guide by Linda Crowsey. Her doll stand is not included.
