This is a wonderful, glazed art pottery set…perfect for a performing arts enthusiast.
Circa 1950s or '60s, these wall pockets are made of ceramic, hand-painted and fire-glazed in black paint. They have wonderful accents of red, green and gold in all the right places.
The comedy mask measures 5" high and 4" wide. The tragedy mask measures 5" high and 3.5" wide. Both are signed/stamped with a blue sickle symbol on the back. (We believe they are examples of California pottery, but unable to identify the mark.)
This pottery set is in excellent condition without any chips, cracks, or other damage. Both pieces have holes on the back for hanging on the wall.
An eclectic find and really cool decor for any room.
