What a bewitching find for any collection.
Circa 1960s, this vintage purse was made by Tano of Madrid in Spain, as signed on the interior fabric.
It measures 8.75" long x 6.25" high with an additional 4.5" high, double handles. It is approx. 5.75" deep, featuring a barrel-style design in black, basket-weave straw and trimmed in stitched, beige leather.
This purse has goldtone brass hardware with decorative buckles on the front exterior. It also has 4 brass feet on the bottom for protection.
The fabric interior is lined in a striped blue and orange fabric and the maker's label is intact and legible. It has one interior, open pocket.
This purse is in excellent condition and has been well-cared for over the years. The interior fabric is very clean and without noted stains, holes, rips, or other damage. The exterior straw is intact and without damage.
This purse shows scattered wear and soil to the leather trim, but mostly on the handles. It can be cleaned with the proper equipment, but we will leave that decision to the buyer.
The brass hardware shows a nicely aged patina that does not detract, adding a special vintage character to this piece. It closes with an extravagant clasp that is pure quality.
This is a hard-to-find, retro fun piece featuring our favorite color in the crayon box....BLACK.
