This flowing chiffon dress appears to have never been worn and is in perfect condition.
Made in the USA by Leslie Fay, the focal point of this dress is clearly the 3" wide, sparkly white sequin collar. It is labeled as a Size 8 Petite, but please check your measurements for an accurate fit.
It measures 40" long from shoulder to lower hem; and the bust measures 17.5" from seam to seam. The elastic waist is 12.5" across (unstretched) and the hips are free. It has a rear zipper with 3 hook & eye closures along the back of the sequin collar.
Most likely made of polyester (fabric is unlabeled ~ 'Woolite wash' is recommended on the label), this dress has a double chiffon bodice and an unlined, single chiffon black skirt.
The design requires the use of an underslip and there are skinny belt loops attached to the waist for adding a belt (if desired and optional, loops are hidden by its chiffon flap and a belt is not included).
The long sleeves have elastic cuffs and each measures 22.5" long with an 8.5" arm opening. There are attached shoulder pads for a structured design.
Circa 1970s, this lovely semi-formal dress is in near mint condition with little to no wear. It is without stains, rips, holes or other noted damage. The maker and ILGWU labels are intact and crisp. Very minty.
A vintage chiffon beauty for wear or collection.
