This brightly colored antique sugar and creamer set is hand painted with delicate brush strokes in a floral design. It is unmarked but is probably Japanese and dates to early 1900's. The covered sugar pot is about 3.5" high and has a little gold decoration on the knob. The creamer is 3" high to the top of the pouring lip. Each piece has handles in a bent bamboo form and each is edged in gold. I especially like the blushes of pale yellow and pink painted behind the main pattern. They are both in very good condition and you can see light easily through both.
