Vintage mid 20th century bracelet marked 925, made in Peru and the letters LGF. Made of horn, each of the 5 sections has a silver and enamel(in red and green) decorated figure. The sections are joined together with thin tubes of sheet silver. Each end has a sliding pinch clasp section which works well although in my opinion could use a security clasp due to the age of the piece. It is small in size, with an inside/outside measurement of almost 7" and a little over 2' high. I would say it is for a smaller sized woman with slender wrists. iI believe it could be made larger if a jeweler substituted longer sheets of silver between the sections.
Condition is good with only a few dings to the horn and a small split that is still sturdy(which can be seen in one of the end section on the back). When clasped the horn does not line up-it is a fraction off.
I have not seen another bracelet like this with the figures on the horn background. It looks like a piece of folk art as well as a stunning piece of jewelry to wear!
