Pitcher and 12 tumblers, 1930's aluminum ware made by the Alcoa company and labeled in their decorative arts studio as Kensington. These pieces comes directly from a gentleman whose father was responsible for hiring Laurelle Guild as the designer of the pieces for the Kensington Ware collection. The glasses are listed as Coldchester Tumblers and the Pitcher is listed as The Mayfair Pitcher. This particular pitcher has the heavier, more decorative handle but not the decorative brass side emblem.
The pitcher is 7.75" tall by almost 6" wide without the handle The tumblers are 5.5" high and flare out to about 3" across. They are in pretty good condition with age related scratches and wear. The tumblers look to have little use and the inside of pitcher shows some staining from water. The aluminum is very heavy and more like stainless steel in the polish.
I have many pieces of Kensington Ware and will be listings then in the days to come. Please check back!
