Antique Amethyst and Seed Pearl 14K Gold Pendant/Brooch
This pin is a Victorian purple confection – the large bezel-set amethyst is a rich shade of purple. Pearls surround this large stone, ten (10) white pears, each with a leaf which holds 5 seed pearls. The larger pearls are well matched in color. The seed pearls range from a white to blush to several which appears more gray. Delicate and feminine yet with the commanding amethyst size – garners attention.
The pendent is not marked, but tests as 14K gold. It measures 1.125 x 1 inch. The amethyst has been tested and confirmed as a gemstone – held securely with gold prong teeth. Please note that the clasp has been repaired and the repair contrasts with the gold. Does not show when worn. The gems are set in 14K yellow gold. Weigh is 8 grams, all-inclusive.
Condition: Very Good antique -- amethyst is unscratched; pin/safety mechanism is in fine working condition and pearls and gold work is intact.
