Published by BOOKHOUSE for Children, Chicago, Illinois in 1920, this dark green hard cover book, "My BOOKHOUSE: Through Fairy Halls" was edited by Olive Beaupre Miller. The 7-1/2" x 9-1/2" First Edition, Volume 3, has 448 pages with many color and black and white illustrations throughout the book. The deluxe gilt top edges and line drawing of a castle on the spine, with a large pictorial paste down of children and a fairy in color on the front of the cover make this a coveted book to own. The lovely book is a compilation of stories and poems from "Hansel and Gretel" to "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Anderson. There are 84 other interesting tales. Though there is slight tanning of the pages from age, there are no pencil, crayon, pen marks or smudges. In very good condition, the book is tight and clean with light rubs at top and bottom of spine and corners. It is after all, a 95 year old book, loved and read by children. Thank you for visiting.
