Shown is an old wicker garden cloche used to keep the critters away from newly planted seedlings. The pre-1930 pieces were used instead of glass bells for plants that needed air and rain, yet were vulnerable to animals who liked to nibble on nice fresh greens in spring and early summer. The bell-shaped sun bleached cloche measures 10" across the woven wicker bottom at its widest part and stands 14" high. The small structure allows one to drape cloth across the top in case of frost. There is discoloration and expected light soil from having been used, but it is in good usable condition, and a perfect gift for your favorite gardener. Thank you for visiting.
