E. Howard & Co. represents the pinnacle of American clock-making - the best in Bostonian craftsmanship of the era. This is an antique (late 1800's) #10 in the "figure 8" style that is about as original as they come. All parts (case, door, baffle, & dial board) are stamped with the numeral "27". The 34" case retains the original mirror-flat shellac finish so typical of Howard regulators. The 8" dial has been professionally restored. All the glass appears original. Weight marked with a "5". Just a super-nice advanced collector clock waiting for a new home. Like nearly all Howard regulators 1-10, the bottom of this clock has seen repair. That being said, it was expertly done and is very hard to spot. I can't say enough about the finish on this clock - it is truly superb. I require blanket wrap shipping for this itam (I can arrange and the cost depends on your location). Cash or Cashier's Check only please (no paypal). Can't afford it all at once?
