E. Howard & Co. Regulator #58 circa 1900. 8-day time-only with factory installed brass chain-wind mechanism. 8" dial, 40" in height. The cherry case on this clock is just beautiful - at first glance you might be tempted to say it's walnut because of the patina, but a look inside and you'll see the tight and subtle grain of American cherry wood - very collectible. This clock was a special order chain-wind clock, for placement in a location too high to wind it normally. At the bottom of the chain is a hook, almost certainly grabbed and pulled with a hooked pole - you can see the wear on the bottom of the clock from years of winding. Movement is clean, signed, and running great. Dial is an untouched original. Damascene pendulum bob is as perfect and sharp as you could hope for. There is one very small loss to the door just to the left of the dial and the lower left finial is chipped in a few spots: neither is really worth mentioning in my opinion, but some collectors are quite picky. I can arrange blanket wrap shipping for you (cost depends on your location). Cash, Bank Wire, or Cashier's Check only please. Can't afford it all at once? Ask us about a payment plan.
