Presented is an Made In Occupied Japan "Lamp" table lighter with a painted metal shade in a vibrant blue-green color. The rest of the lighter is chrome plated metal with a thin piece of brown bakelite material screwed onto the bottom of the base. On the bottom of the lampshade is marked "BRIGHT" and "Made in Occupied Japan". A time period that ran from 1945 to 1952.
This table lighter stands approximately 4 1/2" tall and is in great operating condition. It has a very strong striking/sparking mechanism that's triggered by pressing the button on the base of the lamp. Cosmetically there are some issues. Note that the lampshade paint has a few very small chips in the paint and the plating is a little rough particularly on the top of the lighter. Maybe a good cleaning is in order but remember our motto "Don't Mess with the Patina". Please e-mail us with any questions.
